Sonia Cuero, Au.D., ABA, F-AAA
"Sonia Cuero, Au.D., ABA, F-AAA, is a board-certified audiologist who’s been practicing since 1998. She chose the field of audiology to help people stay connected and have the best quality of life. In 2023, she completed an Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar and is a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners.
Dr. Cuero loves audiology and specializes in adult amplification, aural rehabilitation, and hearing conservation. She prides herself in providing exceptional hearing health care and building lasting relationships with her patients. Dr. Cuero furthers her relationships with patients through her bilingualism; accommodating native Spanish speakers and delivering necessary information regarding their hearing health. Her expertise in hearing conservation prompted her to conduct audiology tests throughout Texas, American Samoa, and Guam as a subcontractor for the Department of Defense. Furthermore, Dr. Cuero has performed compensation and pension evaluations for Veterans since 2006.
Dr. Cuero enjoys spending time with her adult children, traveling, and experiencing new cultures. She is a cat mom to Dot and Skillet. She is a lecturer for the Doctor of Audiology program at the University of Texas at Austin.
