Janet Petitte, M.S., CCC-A,
Janet Petitte, M.S., CCC-A, is an Audiologist at Connect Hearing in Summerville. She has a Master's degree in Audiology, and is certified in Audiology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). She completed her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at West Virginia University. With a background as a retired Professor and Audiology Clinical Supervisor from West Virginia University, she specializes in hearing aid fitting and counseling for individuals with hearing loss.
In addition to her professional expertise, she is also an active member of Stallsville United Methodist Church in Summerville, SC, where she serves as the organist. Her passion extends beyond audiology, as she is dedicated to causes such as breast cancer awareness. Her main goal is to make a positive impact by helping her patients understand their hearing loss and providing them with effective treatment options.
Aside from being a dedicated hearing care provider, Janet finds enjoyment in crossword puzzles and crafts as her favorite hobbies.
Kara Mockaitis, H.I.S.
Kara Mockaitis, HAS, HADS, was born and raised in the state of Georgia. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2015 with a major in Communicative Disorders and a minor in Human Development. Her training began in Georgia in 2016 where she continues to hold a license as a Hearing Aid Dispenser. In October 2019, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina, where she obtained her Hearing Aid Specialist license. Kara specializes in adult and geriatric patients. She has become one of our lead providers in telehealth at AudioNova beginning in January 2022 where she is able to take a hybrid approach to being a healthcare provider in her main clinic in Summerville, South Carolina with assisting patients in our Georgia clinics.
A few of Kara's favorite activities include going to the beach or pool, going out on the boat and trying trendy new restaurants. She also enjoys cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves.
"My favorite part of working as a hearing care provider is experiencing patients faces lighting up when they start to hear what they've been missing for however many years and seeing their excitement. I've always wanted to help people and my profession allows me to do so on a daily basis. I get to meet so many different people with so many different stories. I find it all very inspiring and it's why I enjoy what I do."
