Steven Dugan, H.I.S.
Steven Dugan, H.I.S., is a dedicated Hearing Instrument Specialist at AudioNova in Baton Rouge. As a recent addition to the team, he brings over a decade of expertise in adult amplification, audiometric evaluations, and hearing aid fittings. Steven has served as the clinic manager for three Louisiana locations and played a crucial role as the secretary on the board of the Louisiana Society of Hearing Aid Specialists (LSHAS). Dual-licensed in Louisiana and California, he is an active member of the International Hearing Society and the Louisiana Society for Hearing Aid Specialists.
Passionate about various causes, Steven has volunteered with the Baton Rouge Council on Aging, the Kiwanis Club, and has lectured for the Alzheimer’s Services of The Capital Area. His commitment extends to causes such as hearing loss awareness, hearing loss prevention, children’s rights, and animal rights. His positive impact goal is to remove the stigma surrounding hearing loss, enhance the speech understanding of his patients, and improve the communication ability between his patients and their loved ones.
As a child, Steven’s own diagnosis of hearing loss inspired him to become a licensed hearing care provider. He has been an avid hearing aid user since he was 15 years old. His favorite aspect of the job is helping people overcome barriers to hearing care treatment and witnessing the joy his patients experience as they reconnect with their loved ones through better hearing.
Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and children. You can find them taking evening walks with their family dog or enjoying picnics together during the weekends at their local park. With 14 years in the region, he has become an integral part of the Baton Rouge community.
