Olivia Vasquez, H.I.S
Olivia Vasquez, HAD, is a committed Hearing Instrument Specialist for AudioNova in the Fountain Valley clinic. Her clinical specialties include hearing aid fittings, tinnitus retraining therapy, and brain rehabilitation.
She has been involved in the hearing industry her entire life, coming from a family of hearing care professionals. Her aunt started in the field when she was a little girl, and now she, along with several other family members, work in this industry. It has been a very rewarding experience for her.
Olivia volunteers with the CHOC Walk in the Park, participating annually. She is passionate about causes such as the Alzheimer's Association, Health Equity, Tinnitus-Mental Health Awareness, and Children's CHOC Hospital. A positive impact she wants to have is changing people's lives through better hearing.
She is currently a student at Fullerton Community College, working towards an AA in Communications and Disorders. She became a hearing care provider because she loved helping people and making a difference in their lives.
Olivia's favorite part of working as a hearing care provider is seeing the difference she makes in someone's life, not only for our clients but also for their families. Her favorite activities outside of work include hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with her family and pets.
Doug Richards, Au.D., Doctor of Audiology
I have been an Audiologist for over 44 years and started working as an Educational Audiologist in the Schools for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. I joined Newport Audiology Centers in 1980 and began working as a Dispensing Audiologist in an office near Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. Newport Audiology Centers joined Connect Hearing in 2010 and I continued working in a variety of office’s, including the Fountain Valley Office.
I enjoy helping people hear better again and personally have to deal with my own high frequency hearing loss and tinnitus. I still enjoy learning about new hearing loss treatments and the benefits of new hearing aid technologies for hearing loss and improved connectivity for a full life hearing experience. I have many hobbies and interests that keep me busy when I am not working. I am a pilot, cabinet maker/woodworker, Boy Scout Leader, and enjoy hiking, camping, rock hunting, snorkeling, and traveling with my family.
